The Cregannon Lakes

Head towards Arthog from Fairbourne, the Lakes are signposted as you go out of Arthog on the right hand side. This road is very steep and winding, but when you get up onto the top the walks and sights are wonderfull.

Dolgoch Falls

Go through Llwyngwril and head towards Towyn. When you get to Bryncrug turn off left before the bridge, this takes you to Dolgoch Falls. You will need good walking boots, something to drink and a bite to eat to keep you going. Some of the route is very steep but well worth it. When you come back down stop at the restaurant and have a cream tea and ice-cream.

Lovely walk to Barmouth

Go out of Fairbourne and drive towards Arthog and turn left into Arthog Station. You can park here and there are two walks. One is along the cycle track along the estuary towards Dolgellau. The other one is to go across the Estuary Bridge and go into Barmouth. There is a small charge for using this bridge but it is a return ticket, and when the person finishes work, it is free.

As you go into Barmouth the first little pub on the right is always busy and sells food, just past Lindas Shop is the best chip shop anywhere. Along the harbour front is an ice-cream parlour, pizza place and other eating places. There are more in the town also. We go over for Tea and then walk it off on the return journey.
